Lupinus –Lupins, originally from the Mediterranean basin, and already known to the ancient Romans, count various species; among them the most common is the white lupine which also grows in Italy.
Lupins are grown in Puglia in the upper Tavoliere della Daunia area, particularly in the grounds surrounding the municipality of San Paolo di Civitate.
